Report:
The programme started at 9am with a prayer by Mr. Jaideep R Pisharody of II B.Com Finance of YIMS. Then or HOD, Dr. Matilda Danny gave a welcome speech for the programme. Later the General Co ordinator of courses, Ms.Keerthi.M.S gave a detailed report presentation of various evaluation of courses . She presented the importance of courses in a detailed way so that the students can be able to enriched with high talents. Later the session was handled by a Presedential address by the Director, Dr. Mathew George Vazhayil. He gave appreciation to the PG Department of commerce for taking effort to conduct these 8 certificate courses.
Then we have welcomed our Chief Guest of the day, Prof. Glady Jacob, Associate Professor & Administrator, Dept of Science & Humanities, Kengeri Campus, CHRIST, Bangalore. He have presented various ideas relating to certificate courses. Many new programmes suggestions were discussed in the programme. He focused the importance of these courses to the students along with their academics. Time management, Stress management, Minimalism, Environment studies tips, Personality development courses will help each student to increase their confidence and skills.
Then we have welcomed the resource persons to share their experience sharing on implementation of these courses. Dr. Vinaya Nair, Director of Niraamaya Wellness Centre, Hyderabad who acted as a resource person for 2 courses like Personality Development & Nutrition and Dietetics for Yuvakshetra students. She has shared her experience in the classes with students. She offered some tips of programmes for improving the skill of students.
Later Mr. Diju Jose, Director of TIME Institute Thrissur shared their experience in the Aptitude Coaching for Bank exams to students. He adviced students to select their careers along with the graduation, not after graduation.
The Vice Principal, Dr. Lalu Olikkal gave a felicitation message to the programme. Father appreciated the Dept of Commerce for the effort taken to introduce these courses to all department students.
Ms. Neha Muhammed Rafi of II B.Com Finance B shared her experience on the personality development course. She thank the Yuvakshetra management and also the resource person Dr. Vinaya Nair for taking such an informative sessions on the various topics. She appreciated the students who have enrolled the certificate courses.
At last we have ended the programme with a vote of thanks by Ms. Sreevidhya Menon, II B.Sc Geography at 10am .
