On 10th September 2020, The Department of Psychology Organized a Live Webinar onWebinar on “Working Together to Prevent Suicide” the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day which was through Google Meet and YouTube live. The programme was attended by the students of the Department of Psychology, Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies, Mundur, Palakkad, Kerala. Dr. Nice Mary Francis P. (Assistant Professor and Research Guide, Prajyoti Nikethan College, Pudukkad, Thrissur) was the Chief Guest and Keynote speaker for the event. The programme commenced by11am to 12.30 pm with evoking the Presence of God by Ms. Alina Mariya (2nd B.Sc Psychology). Mr. Sannet Thomas (Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, YIMS) lead the welcome address followed by the presidential address delivered by Rev. Dr. Mathew George Vazhayil (Director, YIMS). The inaugural ceremony was conducted and chief guest delivered the inaugural address. Felicitations was rendered by Dr. Tomy Antony (principal, YIMS), Rev. Dr. Lalu Olikkal (Vice principal, YIMS), Mr. Jith George (HoD of Psychology Department). The official ceremony concluded with the deliverance of vote of thanks by Ms. Aysha Thenseera (2nd B.ScPsychology). After the official inaugural ceremony the resource person Dr. Nice Mary Francis conducted a session on the topic “WORKING TOGETHER TO PREVENT SUICIDE”. The session was very beneficial and interesting. The session explored about the behavioural changes, theories and the solution to apply on that situation. This was really helpful for personal and academic growth.
