On 9th December 2020, The Department of Psychology Organized a Live Webinar on the topic Cancer Prevention and Healthy Lifestyle which was through Zoom. The program was open for all the second year students of Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies, Mundur, Palakkad, Kerala. Ms. Sumki Beegum was the Resource person and Keynote speaker for the event. The programme commenced by 2.30 pm with evoking the Presence of God Almighty by Ms. Harsha S (2nd B.sc Psychology). Dr. Jisha P R (Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, YIMS) welcomed the gathering. Presidential address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Mathew George Vazhayil (Director, YIMS). Felicitation was rendered by Rev. Dr. Lalu Olikkal (Vice principal, YIMS). The webinar concluded at 3.45 pm with the deliverance of vote of thanks by Ms. Aysha Thenseera (2nd B.sc Psychology). After the official inaugural address the resource person Ms. Sumki Beegum conducted the session. The session explored the importance of early diagnosis of cancer, risk factors for cancer, most common forms of cancers, and basic do’s and don’ts when someone you know has cancer. The session was very beneficial and interesting. This was really helpful for both personal and academic growth.
