Hindi Recitation Competition Report
“Poetry Is The Spontaneous Overflow Of Powerful Feelings”
In Regard To The Reading Week, The Department Of Hindi Conducted A Poetry Recitation Competition On 21st June (21.06.2022) For The Students Of Yuvakshetra Institute Of Management Studies (Yims). Poetry Recitation Is A Mode Of Expression For The Students To Develop Their Verbal Skills And To Boost Their Confidence. The Students Were Given The Freedom To Select Any Poems As Per Their Own Interest. The Time Duration Given To The Students Was A Maximum Of Five Minutes.
The Students Enthusiastically Participated In The Competition As They Got An Opportunity To Exhibit Their Talent And Confidence Before The Audience. The Students Were Judged On The Parameters Of Confidence, Pronunciation, Intonation And For Their Overall Presentation. It Was Heartwarming To See The Amazing Performance, Which Was Indeed A Result Of Hours Practice. The First Prize Was Won By R.Mridhula (III B.Sc. Chemistry). Second Prize Was Won By Shreya Suraj (III Bcom Finance). The Third Prize Was Shared Between Two Students Uma Kalyanaraman (II Ba English) And Ashwini Rajan (III BBA ). Farhana.F (III BCom Finance), Sneha (II B.Com Tax) And Aswathy.S (II Ba English) Students Of Yims Received The Consolation Prizes. The Programme Concluded Successfully With The Active Participation Of Students.
