“Empowering Minds, Enlightening Lives: Legal Awareness for a Brighter Tomorrow”
IQAC & Women Development Cell in Association with OISCA International Women’s Chapter Palakkad organised a Legal Awareness Programme “ Njan Thanichalla” to Section B.Com Finance Students at YIMS & Resource Person was Adv.Aparna Narayanan.R ,Rresource consultant Thanichalla Project Mathrubhumi.Kozhikode on 15th July 2024
Gowri S., a student of III B.Com Finance A, YIMS, skillfully conducted the event as the Master of Ceremonies. The program commenced with a heartfelt prayer by Prayaga R from III B.Com Finance B, YIMS. Ms. Kavya K.V., Assistant Professor of B.Com Finance and WDC Coordinator at YIMS, delivered the welcome speech, setting the tone for the day’s proceedings. This was followed by the Presidential Address by Dr. Tomy Antony, Principal of YIMS, who emphasized the importance of legal education in today’s society.
The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed, symbolizing the inauguration of the event. Adv. Aparna Narayanan R. delivered the inaugural address. She spoke passionately on the topic “Njan Thanichalla,” highlighting various legal issues and the importance of legal awareness among the youth.
The program continued with felicitations from distinguished guests Dr. Keerthi M.S., HOD of PG Department of Commerce, Ms. Sreeja T.S., Assistant Professor of Mathematics and WDC Convenor, YIMS, and Ms. Sindhu Harikumar, Youth Forum Convenor from Palakkad. Each shared their insights and congratulated the organizers for their efforts in raising legal consciousness.
The event concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the guests, followed by the presentation of a saplings as a token of appreciation to the yuvakshethra institute of management by the representatives of OISCA. The formal session was concluded by vote of thanks from Sriya Ramesh III B.Com Finance A, who expressed gratitude to all participants and contributors for making the program a success.The ‘Njan Thanichalla’ program was a significant step towards empowering students with legal knowledge, thereby promoting a more informed and legally aware society.
