Department of Mathematics celebrated the Fibonacci Day 2018 on 27th November, 2018 as ‘Lumina Mathematica’. The event was inaugurated by Prof. P. Parameswaran (Principal, Mount Seena Arts & Science College, Pathirippala)
Spectaculum (Inter School Exhibition), Seminario (Interactive Seminar) and Inter School Quiz were conducted as part of Fibonacci Day celebration. The Exhibition and Quiz competitionwere exclusively for Plus One / Plus Two students from different Higher Secondary Schools in Palakkad District. More than 100 students participated representing 20 schools.
Mathematical Working Models, Puzzles, Games, Still Models, Posters etc. wereexhibited. The Exhibition was really informative and motivating.
The Interschool Exhibition competition was based on the topic “Mathematics in Nature’. Trophy, certificates and Cash Prize worth Rupees 3500 were given away to the winners of Exhibition.

The Quiz Master for the Interschool Quiz competition was Prof. Gopalakrishnan of MES College, Kalladi. Twenty two students from 11 schools enrolled for the event and 5 schools were selected to the Final Round.
