The Department of Psychology of YIMS hosted an International Webinar on the topic “New Trends in Organizational Behaviour” on 22nd September 2020. The Webinar was aimed to equip students, academicians and researchers with an understanding in Organizational Psychology and getting familiar to the new trends in organizational field. The webinar witnessed a total of 1300 participants from different parts of India and countries like Bhutan, Bangladesh,, Nepal, Philippians, Iraq and Qatar. The session was highly enriched with practical skill development and knowledge from the highly qualified Resource Person Dr. Asoke Kumar Saha, Professor and Ex-Chairman, Dept. Of Psychology, Jagannath University, Bangladesh)
Mr. Jith George (HOD of Department of Psychology), Mr. Sannet Thomas (Programme Coordinator), Ms. Athira P V (Assistant Coordinator), Ms. Anjali Ravi Kumar (Student Coordinator) and the organizing committee of the Department of Psychology scheduled and monitored the event. The session was hosted trough the Google Meet platform and Streamed Live in Youtube.
The programme commenced by 3:00 PM , an introduction about the programme was given by Ms Nikitha S Kumar (MC, III B.Sc. Psychology) followed by an enlightening prayer by Ms Shuaibha Mumtaz (III B.Sc Psychology) the welcome speech was delivered by the Assistant Coordinator Ms Athira P V (Assistant Professor, Psychology Department) this was then followed by a message by the Assistant Director Rev Fr. Shyju Pariyath, shortly the resource person was introduced to the session by Ms Nimisha K A (III B.Sc. Psychology)
Around 3:15 the session by the resource person Dr. Asoke Kumar Saha (Professor and Ex-Chairman, Dept. Of Psychology, Jagannath University, Bangladesh) commenced. The session was on “New Trends in Organizational Behaviour”. Various topics were explored by Dr Asoke ranging from why the topic was important to the different trends impacting the organizational life. The session concluded around 4:15 pm with the deliverance of Vote of thanks by Ms Anjali Ravi Kumar (student coordinator III B.Sc. Psychology). The entire event was a huge success and the session was extremely fruitful for the participants and it ended on a high note by receiving numerous praises and excellent feedbacks from all the participants and researchers.
