The Department of Hindi is very much proud to present the report on Hindi Pakhwada Samaroh 2020. Hindi Diwas is celebrated on September 14 every year to commemorate the adoption of Hindi in Devanagari script as one of the official languages in different Hindi speaking states of India. This year Hindi Pakhwada Samaroh was conducted from September 14 to September 27. The department conducted Essay writing, versification and Extempore competitions.
The Essay writing and versification competitions were open for all college students. The topic given for Essay writing was ‘ऑनलाइन शिक्षा के गुण और दोष’ and the topic given for versification was ‘अनकह ीं बातें’. The students were given ample time to write their articles and send to the department E-mail id. There was active participation from the part of students. They shared their creative and imaginative ideas through their essays and versifications. First Prize for Essay writing was won by RTHIKA UNNI (Dept. of Commerce, Govt. Victoria College, Palakkad). Second Prize was won by SHEHANAS C (Dept. of English, E M E A College of Arts and Science, Kondotty) and the Third Prize was shared between MYDHILI KRISHNA V (Dept. of physics, YIMS) and DARSHANA D (Dept. of Mathamatics, YIMS). First Prize for versification was shared between NAVYA K (II BSc Psychology, YIMS) and RIA KADAMANNIL (II BA English, YIMS). Second Prize was won by RITHVIKA RAMAL (III BSc Psychology, YIMS) and the Third Prize was won by ARATHY P (II BA English, YIMS).
The next competition was Hindi Extempore. It was exclusively for the students of Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies. It was conducted through ‘Google Meet’. The topic given to the students was ‘कोरोना और बदलत ज वन िैल ’. They were asked to speak on the given topic for 5 minutes. The participants were judged on content, relevance, fluency, and confidence. All participants delivered their speeches with great confidence. First Prize was won by RITHVIKA RAMAL (III BSc Psychology, YIMS). Second Prize was won by NAVYA K (II BSc Psychology, YIMS) and the Third Prize was shared between RAJAGOPALAN BALAKRISHNAN (III BA English, YIMS) and ARATHY P (II BA English, YIMS).
