The Department of Commerce conducted a 3 Day National Webinar for our IInd year students. The main vision of this webinar was to inculcate awareness about the pandemic situations of covid-19 and its impact in the education sector. Through this webinar, we the P. G. Department of Commerce enlightened our students about the post impact of Covid-19 in educational sector with the technological and environmental changes and necessities. In the 3 Day National Webinar 250 students participated and from their feedback , we understood that it was useful for them for their future education.

Day 1 (22-6-2020)
First day of the webinar started at 10 AM with a welcome address by Ms Keerthi M S (Programme Co-ordinator) and official message was delivered by Rev Dr Mathew George Vazhayil (Director, YIMS). Later the session was taken by the resource person Dr K Parimalakanthi [HOD of B.com (BPS & BI)] from Srikrishna Aditya College, Kovaipudur, Coimbatore. She handled the topic: “Impacts of Pandemic in Education” to our B.com Finance A & B students (100 participants).
After the session, students asked their queries and the resource person had cleared all doubts. With a vote of thanks by Ms Anjana B (II B.com fin A) we have ended our first day webinar.
Day 2 (23-6-2020)
Second day of the webinar started at 10 AM with a welcome speech by Ms Aiswarya A B (Asst. Co-ordinator) and official message by Dr Tomy Antony (Principal, YIMS). After which the session was handled by the resource person Mr Suresh Rajagopal (Corporate Trainer, EX – faculty in management studies) Gujarat. He dealt on the topic “Winning Habits through Tough Times” to our B.com CA and B.com Taxation students (94 participants).
After the session, students have cleared their doubts about their habits. Mr. Suresh Rajagopal made that a wonderful session. We concluded the session with a vote of thanks by Ms Kavitha J V of II B.com CA.
Day 3 (24-6-2020)
Day 3 being the final day of the webinar started at 10 AM with a welcome address by Ms Anju E ( Asst. Co-ordinator) and official message by Rev Dr Lalu Olikkal (Vice principal, YIMS) . Then the session was presented by the resource person Dr Sridevi Manganti (Asst professor, Department of Management Studies, Adikavi Nannaya University) from Andhra Pradesh. She shared her ideas and views on “Post Covid Career Opportunities for Graduates” to other IInd year students of Yuvakshetra. Mainly 56 participants made this a wonderful session. The participants were mainly from the Department of Management, Computer Science, Mathematics and Geography.
For the smooth conduct of this programme, Mr George Jose (Technical co-ordinator) assisted and took over the sessions along with Mr Sujith and Mr Girish of IT Department of Yuvakshetra. All the 250 participants were issued e-certificates to their registered email ids.concluded the 3 Day National Webinar @ yims with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Matilda Danny, HOD, Department of Commerce.
