The PG Department of Computer Science at Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies organized an extension program titled “Koode” on July 5, 2024 at Government LP School, Kundalassery.
The program commenced with a prayer, setting a solemn tone for the proceedings. An awareness program on monsoon-related diseases was conducted by the students of the third B.Sc Computer Science. This was followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by Ms. Sumathy M, Headmistress of GLPS Kundalassery, who expressed her gratitude for hosting such an insightful event at the school.
Rev. Dr. Joseph Olikkal Koonal, Vice Principal of YIMS, delivered the Presidential Address, emphasizing the significance of such extension programs in bridging the gap between educational institutions and the community.
The event continued with a felicitation by O. K. Ramachandran, Ward Member, who acknowledged the efforts of the organizing team and highlighted the importance of community engagement. Another felicitation was given by Ms. Jiji T S, PTA President, who appreciated the initiative and its potential impact on the students.
Following the speeches, student ID cards were distributed, symbolizing a key step in the students’ educational journey.
The highlight of the program was a session led by Ms. Greeshma E, a psychologist from ORC. Her session focused on mental health and well-being, providing valuable insights and advice to the students and attendees.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Meena Jose Komban, Head of the PG Department of Computer Science. She expressed her gratitude to all the dignitaries, guests, and participants for making the event a success.
The program concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the attendees with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
