The IQAC and Central Library, Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies in collaboration with DELNET – Developing Library Network, New Delhi conducted the webinar on “Webinar on DELNET Networked Resources & Services : Discovery Portal & Knowledge Gainer Portal” for the students, and faculties.
DELNET has been established with the prime objective of promoting resource sharing among the libraries through the development of a network of libraries. It aims to collect, store, and disseminate information besides offering computerised services to users, to coordinate efforts for suitable collection development and also to reduce unnecessary duplication wherever possible.
Dr. Sangeeta Kaul, Director, DELNET-Developing Library Network, JNU Campus, New Delhi, delivered the lecture.
Webinar Report – 09.09.2020 (FRIDAY)
The webinar started at 3 pm with the welcome address delivered by Prof. T K Rajan IQAC Co-ordinator, YIMS. Further, Vice Principal Rev. Dr. Lalu Olickkal gave the official message for the webinar session. Later the session was taken by the resource person Dr. Sangeeta Kaul, Director, DELNET.
The session discussed the following facilities provided by the DELNET Discovery Portal & Knowledge Gainer Portal
• Inter Library Loan among the Member Libraries
• Document Delivery Service (DDS)
• Searching of E-books
• Searching of E-journals
• Searching of E-articles
• Searching of E-Thesis and Dissertations…

After the session, participants asked their queries and the resource persons cleared all their doubts. Finally, the webinar was concluded at 4:15 PM with a vote of thanks by Programme Coordinator Mr. Christo Somi Librarian, YIMS.
This programme is arranged in the motive of familiarizing and promoting the use of DELNET among the students and staffs of Yuvakshetra Institute of Management studies. There were total of 136 participants, out of which 105 were from Yuvakshetra Institute of Management studies and 31 were from various other institutions which included faculties and librarians. E- Certificate was given to every participant
