The Department of Computer Science is proud to present this report about the 5 Day National Webinar on “Creative Adaptation with Latest IT Trends” from 13th to 17th July, 2020.Dr K Veerakumar, Head – Business Administration, NGM College, Pollachi, Tamil Nadu was the Advisor; Dr K.Vengatesan, Professor of Computer Engineering, Sanjivani College of Engineering, Kopargaon Maharashtra and Dr A.Kanagaraj, Assistant Professor of Computer Science Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College, Pollachi Tamilnadu were on the Zonal Committee.
The Organising Committee comprised of Rev. Dr. Mathew George Vazhayil, Director, YIMS; Dr Tomy Antony, Principal; Rev. Dr. Lalu Olikkal, Vice-Principal; and Ms. Meena Jose Komban, Head of the Department, Computer Science. Ms.Raji N, Assistant Professor, Computer Science was the Coordinator of the Webinar. Mr. Jibin Joy, Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Mr.Anil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science were the technical Coordinators for the webinar.
DAY1
On the 13th of July, Dr. Jothimani K, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering KVG College of Engineering, Sullia Karnataka, the Resource Person for the day, conducted an engaging and interactive session on “Emerging Trends in IoT tools “.The duration of the Session of the Webinar was from 11:00 to 12:30 pm. Ms Meena Jose Komban Head of the Department, Computer Science introduced Dr. Jothimani K and official message was delivered by Rev Dr Mathew George Vazhayil (Director, YIMS). Later the session was taken by the resource person. After the session, Participants asked their queries and the resource person had cleared all doubts. Ms Raji N, Assistant Professor, Computer Science proposed the Vote of Thanks. A total of 131 participants in google meet and 30 in youtube live made the session. The participants were mainly from UG and PG Aspirants, Researcher Scholars, Academicians, from various parts of the country.
DAY 2
On the 14th of July, Dr.Gillala Rekha,Associate Professor in Computer Science and Engineering, KL University,Hyderabad, the Resource Person for the day, conducted an informative session on “Emerging Trends in IT @ 2020 “.The duration of the Session of the Webinar was from 11:00 to 12:30 pm. Ms Meena Jose Komban Head of the Department, Computer Science introduced and controlled the session for the day,and official message was delivered by Dr.Tomy Antony (Principal, YIMS). Later the session was taken by the resource person. After the session, students asked their queries and the resource person had cleared all doubts. Mr.Anilkumar, Assistant Professor, Computer Science proposed the Vote of Thanks. A total of 162 participants in google meet and 50 in youtube live made the session. The participants were mainly from UG and PG Aspirants, Researcher Scholars, Academicians, from various parts of the country
DAY 3
On the 13th of July, Dr. P. Senthil Kumar, Professor of Mechanical Engineering,B V Raju Institute of Technology, Telengana, the Resource Person for the day, conducted an engaging and interactive session on “Online Content Preparation and Assessment “.The duration of the Session of the Webinar was from 11:00 to 12:30 pm. Ms Meena Jose Komban Head of the Department, Computer Science introduced the and official message was delivered by Rev Dr Lalu Olikkal (Principal, YIMS). Mr.Praveen S, Assistant Professor, Computer Science proposed the Vote of ThanksA total of 197 participants in google meet and 60 in youtube live made the session. The participants were mainly from UG and PG Aspirants, Researcher Scholars, Academicians, from various parts of the country
DAY 4
On the 15th of July, Dr. Devvrat ,Assistant Professor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering ,HMR Institute of Technology,Delhi , the Resource Person for the day, conducted an engaging and interactive session on “Automated Hydroponics “.The duration of the Session of the Webinar was from 11:00 to 12:30 pm. Ms Meena Jose Komban Head of the Department, Computer Science introduced and official message was delivered by Rev Fr Shyju Pariyath (Assistant Director, YIMS) and.Ms Raji N, Assistant Professor, Computer Science proposed the Vote of Thanks. A total of 189 participants in google meet and 45 in youtube live made the session. The participants were mainly from UG and PG Aspirants, Researcher Scholars, Academicians, from various parts of the country
Day 5
On the 17th of July, Dr. B. Kalpana, Prof. Department of Computer Science,
Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore, the Resource Person for the day, conducted an engaging and interactive session on “Big Data and social Media Analytics.. “.The duration of the Session of the Webinar was from 2.00 to 3.00 pm. Mr.Praveen S, Assistant Professor, Computer Science introduced and controlled the session for the day. After the session, participants have cleared their doubts about regarding the topic. At last we concluded the session with a vote of thanks by Ms .Raji N program coordinator. A total of 217 participants in google meet and 35 in youtube live made the session. The participants were mainly from UG and PG Aspirants, Researcher Scholars, Academicians, from various parts of the country
. In short we may conclude that the Webinar was a great success not only because of the vibrant speakers and the interesting and relevant topics, but also because of the active contribution of the participants from various states across India. For the smooth conduct of this programme, Technical co-ordinators Mr Jibin Joy (Assistant Professor) and Mr.Anil kumar.B (Assistant Professor) assisted along with Mr Sujith and Mr Girish (System Admins) of our Department. All the participants were issued e-certificates to their registered email id,immediately after final day’s session via feedback forms , which was created using Google forms and its add on plug-in ‘certify’em’.
